FAQ

Who can wear braces?

If you are interested in straight teeth and receive clearance from a dentist, then you can have braces. A free consultation with Dr. Son Nguyen will allow a diagnosis and treatment plan to be made.

What is early treatment?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have an orthodontic screening no later than age 7. Early orthodontic screening and intervention can lead to simpler and more effective treatment. Contact our offices for a consultation if your child is due for their first screening.

How long will I have to wear braces?

The length of treatment varies for each patient and depends on factors such as the severity of the case, age of the patient, and compliance with the orthodontist’s directions. Typical cases range from 18 months to 30 months. A consultation with the orthodontist is needed for a treatment length estimation to be made.

I am over 18, am I too old for braces?

There is no age limit for braces as long as you have good periodontal health and receive clearance from a general dentist. It is not too late to achieve a perfect smile- more adults are getting braces now than ever. We provide options such as Invisalign, clear braces, and clear retainers that may appeal to an adult patient. Feel free to contact our offices for a consultation at our convenient locations.

How can I pay for braces?

We accept PPO dental insurance as well as cash patients. Some patients with Medi-Cal may qualify for orthodontic coverage. We have developed flexible payment plans with no interest financing to accommodate each patient’s individual situation.
